 January 2010

I voluntarily taught a 60-90 minute English Corner Leadership class once a week at the university.

Bible studies were held in my apartment, which is off campus.  Attending were 8-12 students and recent university graduates.

We studied the book of Acts, Christian Leadership and How to Study the Scriptures.  In addition, I held a Basic Christianity class for 2 other new believers 3 times a week.

Hosted a men’s prayer and share group with some of the University Faculty once a week.

Held counseling sessions with students several times a week as needed.

Attended the weekly International Church Fellowship at the University.

 Visited the SANCS orphanage.

Had the opportunity to share with a missionary couple from the Philippines. God was able to encourage them through our conversation to decide to continue with their work in China. It was encouraging to me to know I was being used by God to hearten other missionaries.

I will be returning to China in March.

Please continue to pray for me, our missionary friends, and that the Chinese students will be receptive to Messiah Jesus and the workings of the Holy Spirit.

In Christ Name,
Frank J. Varella
